CIS363B Week 4

We are in week four now and there is just so much to do. It is hard to work graveyard shift with heavy physical labor. I also have a lot to do on my spare time. The assignments seem to be getting a bit harder. I only get time to do these things during certain times. But this week's lab will be the layout and content. I hope I will be able to get things right and also finish the lab which we create navigation, graphics and slideshows. Nothing much this week for me and my family. I do not really do much at all in my life anymore. Lately it is just school and work. I can't wait to graduate here and be able to get a good career that pays good. 

CIS363B Week 3

Hello class,

I look forward to completing week 3 assignments and learning something new. I always get started around mid week to weekend to completing my assignments. I work graveyard shifts so when I finish on Monday morning, I like to rest in and I have a lot of chores going on. I am just awaiting my first baby girl who arrives around mid April of this year. This week will be going into more advanced work with intermediate CSS, Box Model and Page Layout. For our course project, we are to create a navigation layout for our website. Hopefully this goes well.

CIS363B Week 2

I haven't changed much from my blog other than colors. But I am hoping this week will be better for me. I work part time at Delta Airlines to make a little money and get travel benefits. But the work is very physical and I work graveyard shift. It is hard to balance life, family, things we want to do. So I have plans on leaving putting a two weeks notice next month. I will use this extra time to focus on school and also prepare for my first daughter which arrives this mid April. Hopefully, I can utilize what time I have to be able to learn as much this week.

CIS363B Week 1

Hello class,

I am so glad to be in this class to learn about web development. I work part time at Delta Cargo on graveyard shifts. Being a full time student and working graveyards does take a toll and am still figuring out how to make this schedule work. I am a USAF veteran and looking to pursue my bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems. My hobbies include video games, church activities, working out, and watching TV series/movies, and traveling. Coming from a humbling background, I hope to take what I learn here at Devry and be able start a great career that I can make good money to support a family and enjoy doing. I am from the Bay Area where all the major tech giants are.
